Running Boards for the 2019-2026 Ram 1500 (New Body): Crew and Quad, Not Classic

Yes, there are running boards listed for the 2019-2026 Ram 1500 new body, and all five in our data are for the Crew Cab. None of them is for the 2019-2024 Classic, and the titles say so. Our pick for a crew cab is the Tyger Rider TG-SS2D35098. We have no Amazon listing in our data for a new-body Quad Cab.

Straight answer

For a 2019-2026 new-body Ram 1500 Crew Cab, start with the Tyger Rider TG-SS2D35098: 6 brackets on factory studs and no drilling step in the sheet. Every title here excludes the 2019-2024 Classic or names the new body. We have no Amazon listing for a new-body Quad Cab. Check your exact year and cab on the listing before you buy.

What's on this page

A running board is a step mounted below a truck's doors that makes it easier to climb in and out. This page goes one level deeper than the Ram 1500 overview for one truck: the new body, in any model year from 2019 on. If you have not settled which body you have, read Ram 1500 Classic vs new body first, because a 2019-2024 truck can be either one.

Listed for it, and ruled out

Read November 2, 2026. The wording is from the titles, and we add nothing to it.

So on a 2026 truck, all five titles name your year. On a 2019 through 2025 truck the same is true, as long as you have the new body. On a 2027, only the Tyger titles name it, and we could not open Tyger's own page to confirm that year. Check your exact year and cab on the listing before you buy.

Tyger Auto

Tyger Rider 3.5" (2019+ Ram 1500)

A 3.5-inch rail whose title draws the Classic line in plain words.

Why here: Its title rules out the Classic by name, and its part number leads to a maker sheet we could read.

Why it makes the list

  • Title excludes the 2019-2024 Classic
  • Part number (TG-SS2D35098) ties it to Tyger's sheet: 6 brackets on factory studs, no drilling step

Watch out for

  • The title runs to model year 2027; we could not read Tyger's own page to confirm that year
  • No weight rating in the title, so none is printed here
  • The sheet says to wire-brush paint off the studs first

Best for: New-body Ram 1500 crew cab owners. Not for the Classic.

Tyger's sheet is short, and it tells you what the job is. You get 6 universal brackets that fit either side, and each goes on 3 factory studs on the inner sidewall of the body panel. It says to clear paint buildup off the studs with a wire brush or thread die first. The bar then bolts on with 2 combo bolts per bracket, and you level it before fully tightening. There is no drilling step, and it recommends a second person. It lists 15-16 ft-lbs for class 8.8 8mm fasteners and 22-23 ft-lbs for class 10.9, and it states no time and no load figure.

Fit and specs as the listing title or maker sheet states them. Check your exact year and cab on the listing before you buy. Swipe sideways on a phone.

The four other listings have no sheet we could read, so ask for the mounting details before you order. The COMNOVA title says stainless steel and gives no grade. The aluminum running boards page covers what those material words do and do not tell you.

Quad Cab: thin on the ground

ARIES files the Ram 1500 Quad under extended cabs and the Crew under crew cabs, so these are different doors and different parts. Quad Cab vs Crew Cab has the difference.

We have no Amazon listing for a new-body Quad Cab. The one aluminum Quad Cab title we read is stated for 2009-2018 and the 2019-2024 Classic, and it says "New Body Style Not Fit". Westin's Pro-e table reads the same way: its 2019-2027 Ram 1500 row is Crew Cab (part 29-24085), and its Quad Cab rows cover the Dodge Ram 1500 2009-2010, the Ram 1500 2011-2018 and the 2019-2024 Classic. So do not take a Crew Cab part and hope. Ask the seller or maker for a part that names both the Quad Cab and the new body.

Not Classic

Do not buy by the year on your registration. If your truck is a Classic, go to the 2009-2018 and Classic page, where the listings are separate and the drilling notes are different. Several Classic titles rule out the new body in the same plain way these rule out the Classic.

Power steps split at 2025

Here is one line that runs through the middle of this body. The RealTruck PowerStep* title reads "2025-2027 RAM 1500 Gas Only" and names no cab. A WOLFBOX title* for earlier trucks reads "2019-2024" and "Not for 2025-2026 & 1500 Classic". Check your exact year and cab on the listing before you buy. We did not find out why it splits there, and hybrid and other drivetrains on 2025-up trucks remain unchecked. Westin's Pro-e table has a 2019-2027 Crew Cab row with no footnote on it, and Westin states "300 lbs. of weight capacity per side" for the Pro-e. The rest is on Ram 1500 power running boards.

Bottom line

New body and Crew Cab: take the Tyger Rider*, or the COMNOVA 6-inch* if you want more foot area and accept listing data only. Quad Cab: ask before you buy. Classic: you are on the wrong page. The way we read every line is on how we verify fitment, and nobody on this site has fitted these to a truck, so the sheet and the seller have the final word. Check your exact year and cab on the listing before you buy.

Tailgate questions

Do running boards for a 2025 Ram 1500 fit a 2026?

All five step listings here name a range that includes both years, so a part for one is titled for the other. That is a statement about those titles, and not a rule for every part. Power steps are different: one title stops at 2024 and another starts at 2025. Check your exact year and cab on the listing before you buy.

Are there 2026 Ram 1500 crew cab running boards?

Yes. The three Tyger titles run 2019-2027, and the COMNOVA and aluminum titles run 2019-2026, all for the Crew Cab. We could not open Tyger's own page to confirm the last year on its titles, so on a 2027 truck, confirm with the seller. Check your exact year and cab on the listing before you buy.

Will these fit my 2021 Ram 1500?

Only if it is the new body. Ram sold the 2019-2024 Classic alongside it under the same model name, so the year alone does not settle it. Every title here rules out the Classic or names the new body. If your paperwork says Classic, go to the Classic page, where the listings are different.

Are there running boards for a 2019-2026 Ram 1500 Quad Cab?

Not in our Amazon data. Westin's Pro-e table has a Crew Cab row for the 2019-2027 Ram 1500, and its Quad Cab rows cover the Dodge Ram 1500 2009-2010, the Ram 1500 2011-2018 and the 2019-2024 Classic. That does not mean no part exists. Ask the seller or maker for one that names the Quad Cab and the new body.

What is the difference between step bars and side steps on these trucks?

Mostly the word. The Tyger Rider's sheet is headed Step Bars, and its title says side step, rail and nerf bars. The COMNOVA title says side steps, truck step bars and nerf bars. Compare the width and shape in the title, since 3.5 inches and 6 inches are very different steps under your boot.
