About Running Boards for Trucks: A Fitment Reference, Not a Parts Store
Running Boards for Trucks is an independent reference for one question: which step fits this truck, in this year, with this cab, and who says so? We are not a manufacturer, not a store and not a lab, and nobody here claims to have bolted these parts on.
Who we are
This site is written by the editorial team at Running Boards for Trucks. There is no named expert and no invented garage story behind it. The person legally responsible for the content is named in the imprint.
Why this site exists
Search for running boards and page one is shops and marketplaces. Each one sells parts, and few say plainly where a fit statement comes from. Meanwhile almost every listing fits only certain years and cabs. A truck owner has to work that out from a long title, and a wrong guess ends in a return.
So this site does a narrower job than a store does:
- it sorts parts by truck, year block and cab, as the listing or maker states them,
- it names one place to start for each truck and says who that part is not for,
- it marks what we could not verify instead of smoothing it over.
How we work
- Sources: Amazon listing titles, maker instruction sheets, maker pages and public bodies. The sources for a page are listed at the end of it.
- No installs and no lab work: Nothing here was fitted or measured by us. We compare what is published, which is why this is a comparison and not a test. The full method is under how we verify fitment.
- No invented experiences: You will not find owner stories written by us. Install notes repeat what the maker's sheet says.
- Dates: Every page shows when it was last reviewed, and every fit line shows when we read the listing.
What we are not
We do not replace a body shop, a truck dealer or the seller of the part. Where drilling, wiring or a warranty question comes up, we quote the document, name it and point you to a professional where the maker recommends one.
How the site is funded
The site is free and carries no banner ads. It is funded through links to Amazon. If you buy through one, the site receives a commission and you pay the same price. No manufacturer pays for a recommendation. The details are in the affiliate disclosure.
Contact
Questions, or a fit line that looks wrong? Contact details are in the imprint. We correct errors and update the date on the page. How data is handled is in the privacy policy, and image sources are in the image credits.
To shop, start at all trucks. Short answers are under questions.

Fitment, buying advice and explainers
We are the editorial team at runningboardsfortrucks.com. We read listing titles, maker pages and instruction sheets, then write down which truck, year and cab each one states and where we read it. We do not run lab tests and we do not own a test fleet, and we say so openly.
- Fit quoted from the listing or maker
- Sources and dates on every page
- No lab tests, stated openly
