Other Running Board Brands: Dee Zee, Romik, Lund, Boost Auto, Raptor Series, iBoard, Iron Cross and More

These are the running board brands without a page of their own here. For Dee Zee and Romik, we read warranty terms that name running boards. For Lund, we read who owns it. For most of the rest, we could not read a maker document, so we say that plainly and print nothing else about them. If you want a board backed by a sheet we read, start with best running boards.

Straight answer

Dee Zee's warranty gives limited lifetime on aluminum running boards and three years on powder-coated or e-coated steel, with one year on finish. Romik's sheet requires registration and gives limited lifetime on RB2 and RB2-T, with finish and end caps at one year. Lund belongs to RealTruck. We read no maker document for Raptor Series, Iron Cross, Ranch Hand or Boost Auto.

What's on this page

A running board is a step mounted below a truck's doors that makes it easier to climb in and out, and plenty of companies build them. This page sorts the names people search for into two groups: what we could read, and what we could not. A brand landing in the second group says nothing about its boards. It only means we have no maker document to quote.

Quick sort

Read November 2, 2026. Anything not in this table we did not read.

BrandWhat we readAmazon title in our data
Dee ZeeWarranty text carried by NAPANone
RomikWarranty and registration sheet, distributor copy marked 2015None
LundWho bought it, from a 2019 releaseNone
Black HorseHome page, no specsNone
YITAMOTORNothing from the maker, listing title onlyYes
VEVORNothing from the maker, listing title onlyYes
Bully, CarrSee hoop stepsYes, both
iBoardSee APS, where the menu says iRunning BoardAPS titles name no line
Raptor Series, Iron Cross, Ranch Hand, Boost AutoNothing from the makerNone
iArmor, Ionic, KYX, Winbo, XFR, YZona, HDXNothing from the makerNone

"None" means no title in our data, not that no listing exists. Note that Westin also uses the name HDX on some of its steps, and we can't tell you whether a title that says only HDX means that one. Ask the seller.

Dee Zee

The warranty text we read comes through NAPA's Balkamp program and is headed "See Manufacturer's Complete Written Policy", so treat it as a summary. It names running boards directly:

Dee Zee productMaterials and workmanship
Aluminum side steps and running boardsLimited lifetime
Stainless steel side stepsLimited lifetime
Powder-coated or e-coated steel side steps and running boardsThree years
Finish on all productsOne year from purchase
Wear items such as step pads and end capsOne year

Three lines deserve a second look. It covers the original purchaser of a new product only. "Modification of any kind to Dee Zee products voids all warranty coverage", so don't cut anything without asking. And it excludes installation, removal, labor and damage from road hazards such as gravel. It also tells you to protect the finish with non-abrasive wax. Do running boards rust? explains why lifetime on the metal and one year on the finish are two different promises.

We could not open Dee Zee's own site, so we state no fit or line-up here.

Romik

The Romik sheet carries real conditions. "In order to obtain warranty coverage your products must be registered", and it's not transferable.

Romik productCoverage in the sheet
RAL, RAL-T, RB2, RB2-TLimited lifetime on materials and workmanship; finish and plastic end caps 1 year
Polished stainless steel productsLimited lifetime; top plates, step pads and end caps 1 year
Black powder-coated products3 years; top plate, step pads and end caps 1 year
RCV Commercial1 year
Mounting brackets1 year

The salt note matters if you drive winter roads. Romik says that where salt is used, you must keep the bars clean, because salt left on them may cause premature damage and "can possibly void your warranty". Coverage is for the product only, not removal, installation or shipping.

The file is a distributor's copy, and its name marks it 2015. Terms may have changed, so check with Romik. We did not read a current Romik page, and we state no fit.

Lund

Truck Hero announced in June 2019 that it had acquired Lund International, whose brands included LUND and AMP Research. The Truck Hero organization later took the RealTruck name, and RealTruck's shop menu still lists Lund. So RealTruck explains the family. Lund's own site did not answer our requests, and RealTruck's product pages came back empty, so we print no warranty or line names as fact.

The rest of the list

Black Horse. Its home page says "Built for the trail. Fitted to your truck." and lists side steps and running boards as a category, sold through dealers and online retailers. It gives no running board specs, and we did not get its warranty terms. So we have nothing to compare.

Raptor Series. It's a brand name, not the Ford truck. If you own an actual F-150 Raptor, you want a title that names your truck. Either way, we read no Raptor Series maker document.

Iron Cross, Ranch Hand, Boost Auto. We got no page from any of them: Ranch Hand's site returned a service error, Boost Auto's refused repeated requests and we could not find an Iron Cross address that answered. We have retailer excerpts for some of these, and they don't count as maker data, so we leave them out.

iArmor, Ionic, KYX, Winbo, XFR, YZona, HDX. We read no maker document for these. RealTruck's menu lists Ionic. That is all we can tell you.

Two listings we do have

Both are listing data only, according to the seller, so neither is a recommendation. We read no sheet for either one.

YITAMOTOR

YITAMOTOR (2019-2026 Silverado/Sierra 1500)

VEVOR

VEVOR 6" 201 Stainless (2007-2018 GM crew)

One of the few titles that names the stainless grade: 201.

Fits, according to the listing: 2007-2018 Chevy Silverado/GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab, 2019 2500HD/3500HD/1500 LD

Check your exact year and cab on the listing before you buy.

Listing data only

The YITAMOTOR title* names the 2019-2026 Silverado and Sierra 1500 and no cab. YITAMOTOR boards also appear on oedro.com, and OEDRO covers what we could and couldn't confirm about the two names. The VEVOR title* names the 2007-2018 Silverado and Sierra 1500 Crew Cab, 2019 2500HD, 3500HD and 1500 LD, and 201 stainless steel. Stainless steel running boards explains why the grade matters. Check your exact year and cab on the listing before you buy.

Tailgate questions

What warranty do Dee Zee running boards have?

The warranty text we read, carried by NAPA, gives a limited lifetime warranty on aluminum running boards and stainless side steps, and three years on powder-coated or e-coated steel. Finish is covered for one year and step pads and end caps for one year. It covers the original purchaser only, and modification of any kind voids all coverage.

Do Romik running boards need to be registered?

The Romik sheet we read says so: products must be registered to activate warranty, and the warranty is not transferable. It gives limited lifetime on materials and workmanship for RB2 and RB2-T boards, with finish and plastic end caps at one year. The file is a distributor's copy marked 2015, so check current terms with Romik.

Who owns Lund running boards?

Lund International was acquired by Truck Hero, as announced in June 2019, and the Truck Hero organization later took the name RealTruck. RealTruck's shop menu still lists Lund as a brand. We could not open Lund's own site, so we state no line-up, fit or warranty for Lund's boards here. Our RealTruck page covers the company.

Is Raptor Series the same as the Ford Raptor?

No. Raptor Series is an aftermarket running board brand, and the Ford F-150 Raptor is a truck. The two turn up in the same searches, so read the title carefully. A board titled Raptor Series is not a Ford part, and a title naming the Raptor truck is telling you about fit. We read no Raptor Series maker document.

Which of these brands is the best?

We can't rank them. We run no tests, and we found no independent durability test of truck running boards. What we can compare is paperwork, and for most of these brands we could not read a maker sheet at all. For a part with a sheet we did read, see our best running boards page.
