Running Boards for the Ram RHO, Rebel and TRX: Trim Exclusions to Check
None of the five new-body crew cab titles in our data names the RHO, Rebel or TRX, and none excludes them either. That silence is not a fit. Ram offers its own optional running boards or a rock rail on the RHO and TRX, and it describes both as wider than other Ram 1500s. So get a written yes for your trim before you order an aftermarket board.

Straight answer
No title we read answers this. Five new-body crew cab titles name years and cab, not the RHO, Rebel or TRX, and Westin's table does the same. Ram's releases list optional running boards or a rock rail for the RHO and TRX. One Rough Country sheet mentions the TRX. Ask the seller to confirm your trim. Check your exact year and cab on the listing before you buy.
Search for a Rebel or RHO board and you get the same crew cab listings as any other new-body Ram 1500. Nothing in those titles says the seller thought about your trim. That may be fine, or it may not, and the point of this page is to show you exactly how little has been stated. For the truck in general, start with the Ram 1500 overview and the 2019-2026 new body page.
Who names your trim
Read November 2, 2026. We could not read Ram's own product pages or Mopar's store, which both refused our requests, so Ram's words here come from its press releases.
| Source | Trim named? | What it says |
|---|---|---|
| Ram RHO release, 2025 model | RHO | Options: a "full-length rock rail for added body/sill protection" or "traditional off-road powder-coated aluminum running boards" |
| Ram TRX release, Canada, 2027 model | TRX | The same two options |
| Rough Country sheet ERBOX61920 | TRX | "On some vehicles like the TRX, an OE module plug may be in the way" |
| Five Amazon crew cab titles | None | Years and Crew Cab, and they rule out the Classic or name the new body |
| Tyger sheet TG-SS2D35098 | None | No application or trim line at all |
| Westin Pro-e table | None | 2019-2027 Ram 1500 Crew Cab, part 29-24085, no footnote on that row |
| Westin Outlaw 20-44085 | None | "2019-2027 Ram 1500 Crew Cab Pickup" |
| AMP guide 76364-01A | None | Ram 1500 Crew Cab and Quad Cab, 2025-2026 |
| Retailer catalog of Mopar parts | None | Some steps are noted as not compatible with front splash guards |
Dealer fit tables we saw in search results do name these trims, and they do not agree with each other on years. Those are not maker documents, so we print none of them. That one TRX line from Rough Country is an install note about a plug, and it is not a statement that a given board fits.
Why the trim is worth asking about
Ram says the RHO "is eight inches wider than anything else offered in the light-duty lineup" and that its composite flares "accommodate a six-inch increase in track width". Its Canadian release calls the TRX six inches wider than the Rebel. Ram's 2027 configuration list also has a separate "Crew Cab 5-foot, 7-inch bed, widebody (4x4 only)" and a Quad Cab version of the same, without saying which trim gets which.
We do not know what any of that does at the rocker or the mounting studs. No document we read says the studs move, and none says they stay put. Do not take those numbers as a reason a board will or will not work. Take them as the reason to ask. We found no width statement for the Rebel, and Ram lists it in the same off-road group as the RHO and TRX for 2027.
If you are looking at aftermarket crew cab boards
These five titles all name the new-body Crew Cab. None of them is a statement about your trim.
Tyger Auto
Tyger Rider 3.5" (2019+ Ram 1500)
A 3.5-inch rail whose title draws the Classic line in plain words.
Why here: Its part number leads to a maker sheet we could read, so you can show the seller exactly what you are asking about: 6 brackets on 3 factory studs each, on the inner sidewall of the body panel.

Why it makes the list
- Title excludes the 2019-2024 Classic
- Part number (TG-SS2D35098) ties it to Tyger's sheet: 6 brackets on factory studs, no drilling step
Watch out for
- The title runs to model year 2027; we could not read Tyger's own page to confirm that year
- No weight rating in the title, so none is printed here
- The sheet says to wire-brush paint off the studs first
Best for: New-body Ram 1500 crew cab owners. Not for the Classic.
Before you order, look under your truck for those studs at the front, center and rear mounting locations the sheet shows. That does not prove fit, but it gives you a concrete question for the seller. The sheet has no drilling step and states no load.

The other four are title data only. Check your exact year and cab on the listing before you buy. A title that says 2019-2026 or 2019-2027 does take in a 2026 truck, and that is a statement about the year and nothing more.
Quad Cab, power steps and rock rails
Quad Cab. We hold no Amazon listing for a new-body Quad Cab in any trim. Westin's Quad Cab rows are for the Dodge Ram 1500 2009-2010, the Ram 1500 2011-2018 and the 2019-2024 Classic. See Quad Cab vs Crew Cab if you need to pin down your cab.
Power steps. AMP's guide for 76364-01A lists the 2025-2026 Crew Cab and Quad Cab with no trim. The title of the RealTruck listing says gas only. Ram 1500 power running boards has the split by year. Westin states "300 lbs. of weight capacity per side" for the Pro-e, and that figure is for Westin's part alone.
Rock rails and sliders. Ram's option is the factory answer on the RHO and TRX. An aftermarket slider is a different purchase, so read rock sliders first.
Factory boards. A Ram dealer can look up factory parts with your VIN. Mopar and OEM Ram running boards covers what we could and could not read there.
What to ask the seller
- Does this part number fit a [year] Ram 1500 [RHO, Rebel or TRX] Crew Cab? Please confirm in writing.
- Does that trim need different brackets or spacers?
- Do the running boards clear the fender flares and any splash guards on that trim?
Keep the reply with your order. Our rules on what counts as a fit statement are on how we verify fitment, and other trucks are under all trucks. Nobody on this site has fitted any of these to a Ram.
Tailgate questions
Do regular Ram 1500 running boards fit a Rebel?
No title we read says yes or no. The Tyger, COMNOVA and aluminum titles name the new-body Ram 1500 and the Crew Cab, with no trim, and Tyger's sheet for TG-SS2D35098 has no trim line. We do not work out fit from that. Ask the seller to confirm a Rebel in writing.
Are there running boards for a 2026 Ram RHO?
Ram's 2025 RHO release lists traditional off-road powder-coated aluminum running boards or a full-length rock rail as options. For later years, ask a Ram dealer. All five crew cab titles in our data include 2026 in their ranges, but none names the RHO, so the year alone does not answer it.
Does the Ram TRX need different running boards?
We cannot say. Ram calls the TRX six inches wider than the Rebel, and its Canadian TRX release lists its own optional rock rail and running boards. One Rough Country power board sheet says an OE module plug may be in the way on vehicles like the TRX. No document we read states a bracket difference, so ask the maker.
Are rock sliders available for the Ram RHO?
Ram lists an optional full-length rock rail for added body and sill protection on the RHO. No Amazon title in our data names the RHO for a slider. If a title carries the word slider, check how the part mounts, since many such listings are step rails. Our rock sliders page explains the difference.
