COMNOVA Running Boards: Part List by Truck and Cab
COMNOVA sells budget and mid-range running boards on Amazon, and its titles usually name width, years and cab. We could read no COMNOVA install sheet and no spec document, so none of these is our pick. This page lists the eight parts in our data by truck and cab, with the wording traps in each title.

Straight answer
COMNOVA parts in our data cover the Silverado, Sierra HD, new-body Ram 1500, Colorado, Canyon, Tacoma and older Super Duty. Each is listed for specific years and a cab, and one title names no cab. We read no COMNOVA sheet, so everything here is listing data and none of it is a recommendation. Check your exact year and cab on the listing before you buy.
Who is behind COMNOVA
Not much is on the record. A Google Sites page under the name COMNOVA AUTOPART says its business is the manufacturing and distribution of exterior vehicle parts: nerf bars, running boards, bumpers, roof racks and hitch steps. It gives its location as "USA", with no street address, and states no warranty. The running board text on that page is about a Chevy Traverse, not a pickup. The website it links to refused to open for us, so we say nothing from there.
That makes this a brand you judge by its listing titles. Those are often better than average, and that is as far as our evidence goes.

What to read in each title
Sierra 1500 and the 6-inch Silverado boards. These two titles name the Silverado 1500 and then Sierra only for the HD trucks. So a Sierra 1500 isn't named. The Two-Stairs title does name it, but it names no cab. See the Sierra page.
The 2019 LD. Neither 2019-up title mentions the LD or Limited. Other listings put that truck with the older body. That comes from listings and no GM document, so read the 2019 Silverado LD page first if you have one.
"Double" and "Extended" in one title. The older GM title uses both. ARIES files Silverado and Sierra Double under extended, so the title lines up with that. Tacoma Double, however, sits under crew in the ARIES table, and that's why the Tacoma title reads "Double/Crew". Toyota's name for that cab is Double. Double Cab never means one thing across trucks, so count your doors using how to tell which cab you have.
"Dodge Ram" and "New Body Style". The Ram title excludes the Classic and the HD trucks by name, and that helps. A 2019-2024 Classic is a separate listing, as Ram Classic vs new body explains.
"Stainless steel". No title here names a stainless grade. We found no corrosion measurements for any of these, so read the word as a material name and no promise. Do running boards rust? has the detail.
"OE Style". That's the seller's word. It's still an aftermarket part, so OEM vs aftermarket is worth a look.
What the titles don't tell you
None of these titles carries a maker part number, and that's the real weakness. A number like Tyger's TG-SS2C35068 leads you to a sheet listing every bracket and bolt. With these, you have no such path, so you won't know the bracket count, the mount, the torque or whether there is a drilling step until the box arrives, unless the seller shows you.
So before you order, ask the seller for the install sheet and confirm your cab. How to check a listing fits walks through it.
Strengths and weak spots
Reasons to buy
- Titles often give width, years and cab
- Budget to mid-range price classes
- The Ram title excludes the Classic by name
- Covers some older trucks, like the 1999-2016 Super Cab
Reasons to skip
- No maker sheet or spec document we could read
- No part numbers in these titles
- No load rating we can print
- We could not confirm warranty terms
When to look elsewhere
If you drive a Silverado or Sierra
If you drive a new-body Ram 1500
If you drive a Colorado or Canyon
If you drive a Tacoma
If you want to compare makers first
A COMNOVA can still make sense when your budget is the limit and the title names your truck. Just go in knowing what you don't have. How we read all this is on how we verify fitment. For the wider field, start at the site home page.
Tailgate questions
Are COMNOVA running boards any good?
We can't tell you, and we won't pretend to. We found no independent test and no COMNOVA document we could read, and we don't repeat buyer ratings. What we can say is what the titles state: width, years, cab and sometimes material. If you want a maker's sheet in hand before you buy, the truck pages name parts that have one.
How much weight can COMNOVA running boards hold?
We print no number. A load rating here has to come from a maker document for that exact part, and we read none for COMNOVA. A figure in a seller's title or on a dealer page does not count. Not stated means just that, and it tells you nothing about what the part can hold, so ask the seller for the document.
Do COMNOVA running boards need drilling?
We can't say. The titles here don't state it, and we could not read a COMNOVA install sheet. Drilling depends on the part and the truck, so ask the seller for the sheet before you order. See can you install running boards without drilling for how much that varies across makers.
Who makes COMNOVA running boards?
A Google Sites page under the name COMNOVA AUTOPART describes manufacturing and distributing exterior vehicle parts, and gives its location only as USA. It lists no street address or warranty terms. The website it points to refused to open for us. That is all we can confirm, so ask the seller who stands behind the part.
